Paul and Fury are currently scheduled for eight rounds at 185 pounds. With that said, the YouTuber-turned-boxer had this to say on Twitter earlier today:Before losing against Fury, Paul was silencing doubters left and right by securing six professional boxing wins. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to overcome the doubts about him being able to defeat a fighter who boxed for their entire career.

The amount of rounds isn’t the only specific detail that could change for Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz. Shortly after their first press conference, media members told Diaz that Texas requires mandatory drug tests, which is an issue for the Stockton native.

Diaz and his manager were reportedly trying to work with the state athletic commission. Earlier this month, the former UFC fighter provided a short update on Twitter by saying:
‘The Problem Child’ holds wins over AnEsonGib (YouTuber), Nate Robinson (former NBA player), and three former UFC fighters – Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley x2, and Anderson Silva.Jake Paul claimed Nate Diaz wanted their boxing match changed from eight rounds to ten. — Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) June 3, 2023

Paul’s boxing career could be in trouble if he can’t defeat Diaz. The former YouTuber has done a phenomenal job promoting himself, but he needs to prove that he’s more than an influencer boxer. Only time will tell if the 26-year-old can get back on track by adding another combat sports legend to his resume. “I’m good wit 8”

Most people believe Diaz would benefit from a longer fight because of his elite durability. Meanwhile, the Stockton native turned down Paul’s claims of wanting their bout extended. He had this to say on Twitter:
Paul’s upcoming opponent, Diaz, will be making his professional boxing debut in August. The Stockton native last fought in September 2022, defeating Tony Ferguson with a fourth-round submission in the UFC 279 main event.
