“I have experienced numerous contracts that were never-ending and impossible to terminate, so I prefer taking things gradually. If a rematch is necessary, then we will have a rematch. I am not afraid of facing any challenges and would also welcome a rematch if I happen to lose.”Nate Diaz, a former UFC champion, has acknowledged that drug testing will be conducted for his upcoming bout against Jake Paul, despite his lack of faith in its efficacy.Diaz shared his opinion on adding a provision for a rematch in the fight.
The individual who is 38 years old has indicated that they are keen on returning to the UFC and may even compete for a championship title.
Diaz expressed that while he is open to drug testing, it does not particularly matter to him. He noted that throughout his career, he has faced opponents who have used steroids and have been able to evade detection. However, he confirmed that drug testing will be conducted in his upcoming fight.
Diaz left the team after fulfilling his contractual obligations by defeating Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September of last year. He secured a victory by submitting his opponent in the fourth round.
Diaz did not rule out the possibility of returning to the UFC in the future.
“I am considering the UFC as a potential option. Ultimately, my goal is to compete for a world title again. If that is not possible, I will create my own championship and attract the top competitors. However, my preference is to return to the UFC. They have consistently housed the world’s best fighters and I am eager to challenge myself against them.”
Nate Diaz expressed his opinion on the necessity of implementing a drug testing protocol for the upcoming boxing bout against Paul in a recent video by Fight Hub TV on YouTube.
On August 5th, Diaz and Paul will compete against each other in a boxing match at the American Airlines Arena located in Dallas, Texas.
