Jake Paul Hits Back At McGregor For Backing Nate Diaz, Says Fight With ‘Notorious’ ‘Inevitable’

Published:

  • Jake Paul came up with another witty response when asked about Conor McGregor’s prediction on his upcoming fight with Nate Diaz
  • “The Problem Child” is considering facing “Notorious” after Diaz
  • Regardless if it’s true or not, “The Problem Child” said none of that will happen because he’d stop Diaz in August and pursue a showdown with McGregor next.

It can be recalled that McGregor faced Diaz twice in the UFC. He got submitted in their first meeting and secured a decision win in the rematch. Paul suggested that Diaz would attempt to make a UFC return if he manages to win and possibly fight McGregor again.

    Jake likes doubters

As for McGregor, the defeat to Floyd Mayweather in 2017 saw him logging a 0-1 record in pro boxing. He is set to make his long-awaited UFC return as he faces Michael Chandler in the season finale of TUF 31.

“I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off him, and I look forward to seeing it,” McGregor told Inside Fighting.

    Conor could be next

Speaking to the media in the first press conference of his Aug. 5 boxing match against Diaz, Paul said:Paul is coming in off a decision loss to Tommy Fury, the first defeat of his pro boxing career. Diaz, meanwhile, will make his pro boxing debut after parting ways with the UFC last year.

Im a better boxer than you Connor and will do what you couldn’t and knock Nate out. After Nate let’s box as the co main event same night as Katie Taylor VS. Amanda Serrano in Dublin. But since you’re not your own boss you will hide behind Dana or just drink the rest of your life…

“I think he’s got trauma from when Nate slapped his head off. I like that, I like people that doubt me.”

“I’m going to do what Conor couldn’t do, quite literally, and put a [wrench] in all of these plans here. I know Nate wanted to get out of the UFC, come make a bunch of money, fight me, win, then go back and probably fight Conor in the UFC. So that’s what these guys are hoping for. I’m going to stop all that. I promise you that. And then I want Conor next after that. It’s inevitable.”— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) April 23, 2023
