Sean O’Malley predicts that the number of pay-per-view purchases for his championship fight will be twice as much as the number of purchases for UFC 288.

“I am eager to know the impact of Pay Per View sales on this fight. I believe that if I were to fight Aljo, the sales could potentially double. I am not worried about the pressure of selling the fight, as I trust that the fights will speak for themselves and generate the desired numbers. I am confident that it will be twice as exciting.”

Sean O’Malley is predicting a large pay-per-view event for his next fight.

Sean O’Malley aims to generate a substantial number of pay-per-view purchases for his inaugural UFC championship bout.O’Malley has been assured that he will receive the upcoming UFC bantamweight title opportunity. Following Sterling’s triumph over Henry Cejudo at UFC 288 on Saturday, the match has been confirmed. O’Malley previously expressed concerns about Sterling’s popularity before his most recent fight, but now believes that their bout will generate significant revenue thanks to Sterling’s victory. He discussed this on The MMA Hour.

O’Malley positioned himself for a chance at the title by defeating the top-ranked Petr Yan in October of last year. Instead of competing in the Sterling vs. Cejudo fight, he opted to wait for his opportunity. As the current number one contender, he intends to challenge and defeat Sterling in the near future, although a specific date has not been determined.

O’Malley recently revised his agreement with the UFC. He requested a share of the pay-per-view purchases for his championship bout, commonly referred to as “PPV points.” Typically, only champions and more prominent figures receive this benefit. Regrettably, O’Malley was unsuccessful in securing this arrangement but recognizes that he will attract a large audience and generate significant revenue.

He expressed disappointment that the champion will receive the pay-per-view points that he was unable to negotiate for himself. He acknowledged that if he had been able to negotiate for those points, he may have pushed harder. However, he still wants the event to be successful and is confident that it will do well, as the challenger has promised to share a portion of the earnings. He predicts that it will perform twice as well as the previous event.
