Instead of competing in the Sterling vs. Cejudo fight, he opted to wait for his opportunity. As the current number one contender, he intends to challenge and defeat Sterling in the near future, although a specific date has not been determined.
O’Malley recently revised his agreement with the UFC. He requested a share of the pay-per-view purchases for his championship bout, commonly referred to as “PPV points.” Typically, only champions and more prominent figures receive this benefit. Regrettably, O’Malley was unsuccessful in securing this arrangement but recognizes that he will attract a large audience and generate significant revenue.
