The news was initially reported by ESPN Deportes.In November, Lopes participated in a Lux Fight League competition and emerged victorious over Angel Rodriguez with a second-round TKO. This win marked Lopes’ ninth victory in his last 11 fights, which also includes a Contender Series appearance. However, during that particular event, Lopes lost to Joanderson Brito by unanimous decision.
